You can import a image sequence for the image plane on Camera Window -> File -> import sequence. adjust the fov, depth and offsets to match your application. You can also Change the image plane opacity.
The sequence most be named following this format:
imageName.1001.ext
imageName.1002.ext
imageName.1003.ext …
the numbers must match the frames on the animation.
